Why Indian graduates do MBA ?
1) Job Mismatch of skills and interest : Everyone getting employed in IT/ITES
2) No Job : graduation skills not sufficient to get a job
3) Lack of risk taking ability : Not enough confidence/skills in graduates to start their own ventures
4) MBA Salaries : High packages to MBA graduates attract others
5) Business acumen/ knowledge schools : People who want to start/join business want to understand business terms knowledge.
6) Better than other options : Better than going for PhDs or any other professional course
Issues : Rarely do the students know what MBA education is all about, they get caught in the system, processes and huge syllabus of MBA schools, reading books to pass exams gaining very less business insights, skills, knowledge.
Result : People end up getting jobs in IT/ITES, very few gain enough business insights,skills to start new venture.
MBA becoming common and redundant degree on every literates resume.
